I found an interesting post from Brian Alvey about Twitter’s business model. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send “updates” (or “tweets”; text-based posts, up to 140 characters long).
As its users grow, Twitter have some problems of downtime. And user get aware of this scalability problem of Twitter.
How can Twitter make money from such a great service but serious problem of performance? Brian Alvey make a joke on Twitter. He wrote in his post, that he finally found Twitter’s business model which is: put advertising on downtime page of Twitter.
Monetize your failure? He..he.. what brilliant idea…
